Tax Fact – Accessing Income Statements or Payment Summaries

Payment summaries will no longer be issued from your employer if they are reporting through Single Touch Payroll (STP).

Payment summary information will be available in Australian Taxation Office online services through myGov. The payment summary is now called an ‘income statement’.

A registered tax agent will be able to access the information they need to complete your tax return. This has not changed.

Employers who are not reporting through STP will continue to issue a paper version of the income statement.
